As the sun sets on the last eight years of America's history, I look forward to the morning we're about to wake up to with great pride and optimism.
An historic election, indeed.

Let me out!
Lauren and I went to lunch and took a walk around my neighborhood the other day. Though I originally intended on a full-blown photoshoot, it turned into us casually walking around and me taking the occasional shot when the opportunity presented itself. This was mainly due to my lack of ideas for a location. Regardless, I got a few good shots of Lauren, and the two I recently uploaded to Flickr (the shot of Fido there being one of them).
I'd really like to go shooting more, but I am not particularly inspired by anything right now. I enjoy my photography, but I enjoy it a lot more when I have a clear idea of what I'm taking pictures of. Las Vegas is just kind of a dull city once you get past the neon lights and heavy traffic.
I used my photo-skills to try and win a girl over a couple weeks ago, but that didn't work out so well. We'll leave it at that. That may have something to do with my current lack of inspiration. It'll pass before long.
Once I whittle my debt down a bit, I'm hoping to get a nice macro lens (some L glass would be nice) so I can experiment with close-up stuff more. That should make for some interesting pictures.
The Holidays are fast approaching, maybe some distant relatives will send me cards with money in them and I can put that toward my new lens. Oooh, or a 50D, that'd be nice too...
